8 December 2024 – Macau Special Olympics (“MSO”) organised a kick-off event to launch a year-long initiative supporting their Olympic activities on 8 December at the football field of Workers Stadium.

Ms. Angela Leong, Director of SJM Resorts, S.A. ("SJM") and Chairman of the Staff Welfare Consultative Committee of SJM, led a team of 22 volunteers in this effort. Through this kick-off event, SJM aimed to raise public awareness about individuals with outstanding abilities in sports who are underprivileged. The initiative seeks to support those participating in the Olympics, foster inclusivity and equality, create a welcoming atmosphere, and encourage disadvantaged athletes to showcase their talents on the sports stage.
