SJM Garners the Western Cuisine Chef Excellence Award at the “2025 Zhuhai-Macau-Hengqin Vocational Skills Competition and Shenhe Cup Vocational Skills Contest”
30 October 2025 – The “2025 Zhuhai-Macau-Hengqin Vocational Skills Competition and Shenhe Cup Vocational Skills Contest” was held on 30 October and was jointly organised by the Zhuhai Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Labour Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, and the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. The event was managed by the Macau Federation of Trade Unions. Chef Ng Chon Hou from the Food and Beverage Department of the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau was awarded the Western Cuisine Chef Excellence Award.
This year’s competition, themed “Harmony Between Guangdong and Macau, Innovation for the Future,” aimed to create a high-level platform for collaboration and mutual learning among talents from Guangdong and Macau. It is intended to contribute to the sustainable and high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area. SJM Resorts, S.A. actively participated in the event, seeking to enhance the skills of its team members through competitive exchange and to support Macau’s development as a “Creative City of Gastronomy.” The event also aimed to promote the joint cultivation and development of regional skilled talents.
