SJM holds “SJM Cultural Calligraphy and Painting”Gala Dinner
26 February 2025 – SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) held a gala dinner titled “SJM Cultural Calligraphy and Painting” on 26 February at the Portas do Sol Restaurant of Grand Lisboa Hotel. The event was attended by Mr. Wang Huijie, Director of the Department of Publicity and Culture of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR; Dr. Ambrose So, Director of SJM; Ms. Angela Leong, Director of SJM and Chairman of the SJM Staff Welfare Consultative Committee; along with several calligraphers and painters, all gathered to celebrate the new year.
Approximately 110 guests, including distinguished individuals, calligraphers, painters, local university students, and students from the SJM Calligraphy and Painting classes, mingled and engaged in discussions about the creative arts and innovations in calligraphy and painting. The calligraphers and painters also improvised on-site, creating several pieces as gifts for Dr. Ambrose So and Ms. Angela Leong. Additionally, the gala dinner featured a lively game session.
Both Dr. Ambrose So and Ms. Angela Leong expressed their gratitude to the calligraphers and painters for their participation, which greatly contributed to the success of the event. Rooted in Macau, SJM is committed to its role in promoting Macau as an exchange and cooperation base with Chinese culture as its mainstream and the co-existence of different cultures. SJM strives to uphold the spirit of traditional Chinese culture, foster the development of local art and culture, and promote the integration of calligraphy and painting into modern life, thereby facilitating the inheritance and development of Chinese culture and art.
