21 July 2023 – Organised by SJM Staff Welfare Consultative Committee (“SWCC”), SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) held the 7^th “Jiangxi Jinggangshan Patriotic Education and Training Programme” from 17 to 21 July 2023, with the participation of 100 staff and their teenage children The tour aims to strengthen team cohesion and instill the patriotic spirit of “Loving the Motherland, Loving Macau” in the young generation.

The opening ceremony was held at the Red Education Base of the CPC Jinggangshan Municipal Committee on 18 July. The patriotic education programme was coordinated by SWCC, with Ms. Angela Leong, Chairman of SWCC, Vice-Chairman of the Jiangxi Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and honorary citizen of Jinggangshan, as the team leader. The programme made full use of the rich red cultural heritage in Jinggangshan, and the participants immersed themselves in the field environment to experience the hardship and difficulties faced by the red army. The 5-day study tour was concluded by an oath ceremony taken part by all participants a . All participants have successfully completed the programme, and joined the “Alumni Association of Jinggangshan Cadre Training Academy of Macau”, serving as a role models to promote the “Jinggangshan spirit” and inspire national pride.

Upholding the core value of “Loving the Motherland, Loving Macau”, SJM has organised various patriotic education programmes and activities to strengthen and deepen patriotic awareness of its team members. The “Jiangxi Jinggangshan Patriotic Education and Training Programme”i” has been held  regularly since 2011, making SJM Macau’s first integrated resort operator to offer patriotic courses and tours. The “SJM Jinggangshan Patriotic Education Base” was set up in Jiangxi in 2014, dedicated to facilitating more comprehensive patriotic education programmes for its team members. Moving fuward, SJM will continue to encourage the community to uphold the patriotic sprit and actively contribute to the building of a prosperous city with “Loving the Motherland, Loving Macau” as the company’s core values.
