18 April 2024 – Since 2019, SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) has always promoted patriotic education by organising visits for its employees to the National Security Education Exhibition. This year, about 300 employees participated in the event and deepened their understanding of the advancements made in national security, which in turn enhances their appreciation of their duty and obligation to uphold national security and the sustained implementation of “One Country, Two Systems” in Macau. The National Security Education Exhibition is jointly organised by the Macau SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR from 15 April to 15 May at the Macao Forum.
Ms. Angela Leong, Director of SJM and Chairman of the Staff Welfare Consultative Committee (“SWCC”) of SJM, along with other management and team members from various departments, visited the National Security Education Exhibition on 18 April 2024. This year’s exhibition, themed “10th Anniversary of a Holistic Approach to National Security – Leading the Way with Innovative Thinking”, showcases accomplishments under the national security system and its advancements in safeguarding the new development landscape. It highlighted breakthroughs in five key areas including economy, technology, national security and foreign affairs over the past decade. Additionally, it highlighted how the Macau SAR actively integrated itself into the national development plan and how the people of Macau as a whole safeguarded their national sovereignty, security and development with the strong support of the Central Government. The exhibition guides offered in-depth explanations on the spot, complemented by vivid printed materials, photo panels and historical footage, enriching participants’ sense of national belonging and pride while enhancing their comprehension of national security strategies. This experience also underscored the significance of national security for the steady advancement of Macau’s society and fostered societal unity and self-assurance in order to shape a prosperous future for Macau together.
