4 January 2025 – Committed to supporting Macau’s higher education, SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) established the SJM Scholarship Programme for students of the Macao Polytechnic University (“MPU”) in 2002. Recently, SJM expanded the annual scholarship amount to MOP100,000, awarding ten outstanding students each with MOP10,000 per year. The awardees are mainly selected from students who are specialised in Portuguese-related studies, while others come from Nursing, Physical Education, Computing, Design, Music or Media Arts, in coordination with Macau’s “1+4” appropriate diversification development strategy.

The 2023/2024 MPU Scholarship Award Ceremony was held on 4 January. Mr. Daniel Shim, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of SJM, attended the ceremony and presented the awards to ten students on behalf of the company.

In response to Macau SAR Government’s vision of “Building Macau through Talent Training”, SJM is dedicated to nurturing local talents, with the goals to promote Macau’s positioning as “One Centre, One Platform, One Base” and contribute to its appropriate economic diversification.
