16 April 2025 – SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) is committed to its core values of “Love for the Motherland, Love for Macau.” Since 2019, SJM has organised its team members to visit the “National Security Education Exhibition,” which is jointly hosted by the Macau SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR. This year, 300 staff members are planned to participate in this initiative, aimed at enhancing their understanding of national security's significance and showcasing Macau’s practical achievements, thereby strengthening corporate awareness and reinforcing their duty and mission of safeguarding national security.

Today, Ms. Angela Leong, Director of SJM and Chairman of SJM Staff Welfare Consultative Committee, along with other management and team members, visited the exhibition. With the guidance of professional docents and engaging graphic and video displays, they gained a deeper understanding of the strategic importance of national security. This year marks the 10th “National Security Education Day,” themed “The 10th Anniversary of National Security Education Day: Advancing Towards More In-Depth and Effective Implementation.” The exhibition is structured into a preface and six thematic sections, highlighting the nation’s latest significant development achievements over the past year. It focuses on the overall national security concept and the national security efforts in the new era, particularly the historic achievements in national security publicity and education over the past decade. The exhibition also reflects how the Macau SAR Government and various sectors of society have embraced the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s important speech during his visit to Macau last year, further implementing the principle of “patriots governing Macau.” This commitment ensures high-quality development alongside high-level security, contributing to the successful practice of “One Country, Two Systems” with unique Macau characteristics.

Visiting the National Security Education Exhibition is a key annual activity of the ‘SJM Patriotic Education Series.’ This initiative aims to help team members understand that national security is a vital foundation for people’s well-being and the sustainable development of society and the economy. We encourage our members to take the initiative in safeguarding national security interests. Additionally, we hope that through these visits and learning experiences, the younger generation will develop a stronger awareness of the law and pass on the spirit of patriotism across generations.”

As the first integrated resort in Macau to implement systematic patriotic education courses and red tourism, SJM demonstrates its commitment to patriotism through various activities. These include Two Sessions Spirit Sharing Session, the “Jiangxi Jinggangshan Patriotic Education and Training Programme,” and the GBA Tours. Moving forward, SJM will continue to promote patriotic education, nurture patriotic talents for the new era, and contribute to the long-term implementation of “One Country, Two Systems.”
