“SJM Employees’ Children Summer Programme” Concludes Successfully
25 August 2025 – SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) remains committed to fostering the holistic development of Macau’s younger generation. This year, SJM continued its dedication by meticulously organising a series of enriching summer classes and activities, offered free of charge to children of team members and their relatives. Targeting kindergarten and primary school students, the initiative aimed to encourage youngsters to utilise their summer leisure time to explore interests and unlock potential. The 2025 “SJM Employees’ Children Summer Programme” launched in late July, delivering a total of 46 classes, a 15% increase from the previous year, and attracting over 850 participants, reflecting a strong 30% year-on-year growth and demonstrating enthusiastic engagement.
This year’s curriculum spanned six diverse categories: sports, culinary arts, academic enrichment, creative science, cultural arts, and thematic experiential activities, delivering a fulfilling and innovative summer experience for students. The sports programme offered not only various ball games but also diverse activities like popular dance and children’s yoga, fostering both a passion for physical activity and competitive spirit. In culinary arts classes, children transformed into chefs, actively making desserts, bread and other delicacies, which they took home to share with their families. Academic enrichment extended beyond traditional subjects, continuing last year’s popular English game-based learning courses to enhance capabilities through edutainment. Creative science featured fun science workshops, LEGO mechanical projects and robotic construction programming, inspiring a love of technological exploration. Cultural arts classes included painting, magic, junior MC and modelling workshops, helping children express themselves artistically and realise their dreams of performing on stage. Thematic experiential activities encompassed not only picture book storytelling and children’s aerial dance but also family activities such as the “Drunken Dragon Culture Family Experience Day” and “SJM x Macau Cruise Family Experience Day”, enabling families to engage in cultural tourism initiatives sponsored by SJM, strengthening bonds and promoting family harmony.
SJM upholds its “people-oriented” philosophy by extending care from team members to their families, spreading its vision of promoting family harmony and cultivating talent throughout the Macau community. The company regularly conducts parental education programmes, family competitions, and seasonal events alongside its summer classes, while providing scholarships to outstanding children of staff members – demonstrating SJM’s profound commitment to valuing both employees and their families, and thereby making a meaningful contribution to Macau’s development.
