17 September 2025 – Since 2024, SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) and the Macau Holy House of Mercy have collaboratively organised the “My ElderFriend Programme”, an initiative aimed at fostering friendships between the elderly residents of the Macau Holy House of Mercy's nursing homes and the SJM volunteer team. Through regular visits, the programme seeks to enhance the seniors' sense of social connection and promote their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, thereby bringing warmth and comfort to their later years.

The “My ElderFriend Programme” has garnered enthusiastic support and recognition. Regular visits persisted from July to September. Since its inception in early 2024, volunteer participation has grown from 25 to 50 volunteers, and the frequency of visits has doubled from once to twice monthly. The programme has conducted a total of 35 visits, benefiting over 30 elderly individuals.

SJM has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility through its collaboration with community organisations and provision of diverse services and support to society. Looking ahead, SJM will continue to utilise its resources to assist underprivileged groups and contribute to the development of a harmonious and inclusive community.
