20 September 2025 – The World Alzheimer’s Association has designated September each year as “World Alzheimer's Month.” This year’s theme is “Ask About Dementia, Ask About Alzheimer’s”, encouraging the public to actively understand and care for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. In response, SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) took practical action by partnering with youth from Caritas Macau on September 20. They visited the Salvation Army Rui Xi Integrated Service Centre for Senior Citizens, where they organised music performances and handicraft activities for elderly individuals with Alzheimer’s, conveying care through these interactive events.

The youth began with a carefully prepared band performance, using beautiful melodies to evoke fond memories among the elderly. Following this, SJM team members, along with the youth and seniors, collaborated to create small potted plants, fostering a warm and joyful atmosphere on-site.

SJM is committed to social responsibility and consistently organises various community care activities to promote the spirit of respecting and caring for the elderly. These events also provide a platform for youth to perform, boosting their confidence while instilling virtues of respect and care for the elderly in the younger generation. Together, they work towards building an inclusive and friendly community for both the young and the elderly.
