SJM Fully Supports the Macau Grand Prix and Organises a Series of Community Events
16 November 2025 – SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) fully supports the 72nd Macau Grand Prix. As the major sponsor of the Macau Grand Prix and title sponsor of the SJM Theodore PREMA Racing, SJM has organised a series of “A Racing Legacy” community events aimed at bringing the excitement of the racetrack to the local community and inspiring the passion for motorsport among Macau's youth.
SJM organised “A Racing Legacy – Behind the Scenes” for a group of participants from the SJM “Forge My Own Journey” Development Programme and student interns on 15 November, offering a rare opportunity to visit the paddock of the SJM Theodore PREMA Racing. During the tour, top racers Charles Leong Hon Chio, Freddie Slater and Rashid Al Dhaheri introduced various key components, team operations, and pre-race preparation. The close-up experience deepened the students’ understanding of teamwork and further fuelled their interest in motorsport.
Early this month, SJM hosted “A Racing Legacy – Meet the Drivers” at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau. The event featured Alex Denning, one of the two co-champions from the 2025 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia (LSTA), who interacted with over 40 students, sharing his journey to becoming a professional racer and valuable experiences from competing on the global circuit. Denning also demonstrated simulated training at the “VR Racing Game” in the “Sportopia” game zone on Level 2 of Grand Lisboa Palace, where students eagerly took the wheel to experience the thrill of high-speed competition. Additionally, the opening ceremony of the “A Racing Legacy – SJM Theodore Racing Interactive Exhibition”, which will remain open until 23 February 2026, was held at the Macau Grand Prix Museum. Freddie Slater and Rashid Al Dhaheri from the SJM Theodore PREMA Racing Team shared their personal journeys with approximately 30 local students, encouraging them to pursue their dreams with determination and resilience.
SJM has remained steadfast in its commitment to advancing Macau's sporting development and nurturing local talent. By collaborating with the Macao SAR Government, sports organisations, and local community associations, SJM actively delivers a diverse programme of events, promoting grassroots sports culture and fostering a positive, proactive social environment across the community.
