21 November 2025 – Jointly organised by the Tennis Administrative Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, the Sports Youth Program Center of the Central Radio and Television Station, the Chinese Tennis Association, and the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, supported by the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, co-organised by the Chinese Tennis Sports of Beijing Co., Ltd. and the Macau Tennis Association, the 2025 CTA Tour SJM Professional Finals (Macau) and National Tennis Championships will take place from 1 to 7 December at the Macau Tennis Academy. SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) continues its title sponsorship for the fifth consecutive year while also serving as a co-hosting organisation, further solidifying Macau’s position as a year-end focal point on the national tennis calendar.
Coinciding with the ongoing tennis competitions of the 15th National Games of the People’s Republic of China in the Guangdong–Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, the 2025 CTA Tour SJM Professional Finals (Macau) and National Tennis Championships hosted a special promotional event, the “Tennis Clinic”, on 19 November at Hengqin School Affiliated to Hou Kong Middle School. The event gathered almost 40 students and teachers, showcasing the charm of professional tennis to Hengqin through energetic and enjoyable on-court interactions. Participants experienced the unique appeal of tennis in a relaxed and friendly environment while connecting with like-minded peers. The “Tennis Clinic,” which first launched in Macau in October, is part of a series of promotional initiatives for December’s
tennis extravaganza, contributing to the sport’s wider development across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The “Tennis Clinic” kicked off with the host introducing the CTA Tour and sharing the latest updates on the development of tennis in China. This was followed by two rounds of engaging group games, led by professional coaches who guided students through friendly challenges that emphasised teamwork, coordination and fun. An exhibition of past CTA Tour champions, including Bu Yunchaokete, Wu Yibing, Liu Fangzhou, Wang Yafan, Cui Jie, Te Rigele and Wang Qiang, offered students the chance to appreciate the presence of national tennis icons up close, inspiring their passion and aspirations for the sport. This activity further deepened students’ understanding of China’s sporting achievements, nurturing a sense of national pride while cultivating a love for physical activity.
The event concluded with a prize presentation and group photos. A representative from the Macau Tennis Association presented commemorative gifts of the CTA Tour Finals to participating students, while outstanding performers received souvenirs featuring SJM mascot “Sam the Rooster” from SJM representative, serving a delightful memento of a joyful afternoon. The “Tennis Clinic” series aims to attract even more “tennis friends” from across the Greater Bay Area to follow the tournament and gather in Macau this December to enjoy world-class competition.
To further promote the development of tennis in Macau, SJM has once again partnered with the University of Macau’s Office of Sports Affairs to host the “SJM X UM 2025 Tennis Experience Camp.” Expertly led by tennis players from the University of Macau, the event offers four sessions in November for local youth. Approximately 25 young players began their journey from the basics, mastering essential skills such as grip, swinging, and hitting under the guidance of experienced instructors, cultivating an appreciation for the sport’s excitement.
After the CTA Tour launched in 2020, SJM has stepped up to play a pivotal role in bringing the prestigious year-end finals to Macau and has proudly served as title sponsor for five consecutive years. This initiative highlights Macau’s growing stature as a host of world-class international sporting events, its exceptional ability to orchestrate large-scale projects, and its commitment to foster cultural exchange and regional collaboration within the Greater Bay Area. This April, the 2025 CTA Tour kicked off in Huzhou, followed by a series of tournaments nationwide to select China’s top players to compete in Macau this December.
