SJM Secures Five Major Awards at MORS Gold Pin Competition Showcasing Talent Development Excellence
17 December 2025 – SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) remains committed to talent development and actively participates in the Macao Occupational Skills Recognition System (MORS) Gold Pin Competition, organised by the Macao University of Tourism. This year, SJM fielded its largest-ever team to compete across eleven competition categories. Fourteen team members advanced to the grand finals and ultimately secured five prestigious Gold Pin Awards, underscoring SJM’s achievement in professional training.
SJM achieved impressive results across multiple competition categories. Several team members received Gold Pin Awards, including Tam Sau Pan in the Security Officer category for the Tourism and Gaming Industry, marking the fourth consecutive year SJM has won this top honour. Cheung Kat Lung in the Chinese Chef (Cantonese Cuisine) category and Cheng Pui Shan in the Front Desk Agent / Customer Relations Officer category also triumphed in their respective fields, securing the company’s second straight wins in these categories. Additionally, Luk Cheong Wang in the Bartender category and Cheong Lap Sau in the Tea Master category delivered remarkable performances, earning SJM’s first-ever awards in these disciplines.
To address the diverse professional needs of its team members, SJM offers a broad spectrum of specialised training programmes, in addition to its regular development initiatives. These include certified first-aid courses for the Security team, business English classes, and guided tour training developed in partnership with the Macao University of Tourism for the Front Desk team. Lui Yung San, who was awarded the 2023 Gold Pin Award in the Security Officer category for the Tourism and Gaming Industry, now serves as an internal trainer. He reflects the company’s philosophy of “training through competition, nurturing through excellence” and promotes knowledge sharing and team development.
The awarded team members conveyed that the competition not only enhanced their comprehension of professional occupational skills but also improved their capacity to engage meaningfully with guests. They articulated a strong commitment to ongoing self-improvement and the provision of high-quality service.
