SJM Provides Culinary Training for Social Community Organisation Once Again
26 November 2025 – SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) invited Herlander Fernandes, Head Chef from THE KARL LAGERFELD, to the “Corner of Portuguese Cuisine Cantinho Luso” at the Fuhong Society to showcase his catering skills. He prepared a special Portuguese dish, Shredded Codfish with Potatoes and Eggs (Bacalhau à Brás), along with the dessert “Sweet Potato Butter Cake”, for the organisations’s members and staff.
During the demonstration, Chef Fernandes thoroughly introduced the ingredients and detailed the preparation, cooking, and decoration processes. He also explained the key cooking skills involved, which were well received by the participants. Participants took notes and actively participated in the cooking process. Afterwards, they had the opportunity to taste the dishes alongside Chef Fernandes, and the results received positive feedback.
These new dishes will be featured at an upcoming charity sale at Cheng Tou Centre, which is set to open soon.
Through this activity, SJM aimed to provide professional culinary training to young people, enhance community inclusivity and cooperation, and contribute to building a harmonious society.
