29 November 2025 – The Association of Rehabilitation of Drug Abusers of Macau (“ARTM”) successfully launched its new charity cookbook, “Recipes with a Hope”, on 29 November. Chiang Maotang, Junior Executive Chef at Jai Alai Oceanus Hotel, SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) was invited to share his culinary insights and experiences at the event.

Chiang Maotang was awarded the gold medal in the “Chinese Cooking – Vegetarian Designated Dish” category at the 2023 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Workers Culinary Skills Competition. In line with SJM’s motto of “from society, to society,” he volunteered to teach culinary skills at ARTM’s Ka Ho Integrated Service Centre in August 2024 upon the company’s recommendation.

Chiang Maotang also contributed his signature recipe, “Mint Slow-Braised Pork Ribs”. This dish, together with recipes from other distinguished chefs, was included in the “Recipes with a Hope” charity cookbook.

SJM has long promoted public welfare, encouraging its team members to participate in charitable activities. Through gastronomy, SJM aspires to convey hope and compassion, enabling rehabilitators to acquire professional culinary skills, and foster social harmony and inclusion.
