SJM and the Fuhong Society of Macau Co-organise “Baking with Love” Programme
8 April 2026 – SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) is dedicated to encouraging its young pastry chefs to turn their baking expertise into a source of warmth and care to give back to the community. In collaboration with the Cheng Tou Centre of the Fuhong Society of Macau, SJM co-organised the “Baking with Love” Programme, which adopts a learn-through-play approach to equip participants with practical pastry skills and essential occupational safety concepts—making SJM the first integrated resort operator to introduce Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) training into social welfare organisations.
On 1 April, the SJM team conducted a kitchen safety workshop for nearly 30 trainees and staff members from the Cheng Tou Centre, covering key safety precautions alongside on-site practical training in correct lifting and operational techniques. On 8 April, SJM’s pastry chefs tailored a traditional “Caterpillar Cookie” (蟲仔餅) recipe to suit the trainees’ needs, demonstrated professional baking techniques, and guided participants in creating their own delicious treats—enabling them to showcase their talents to the community.
