16 June 2024 – In celebration of Father’s Day, SJM Resorts S.A. (SJM) organised a special workshop at the Staff Club. The “Tell China Stories” Parent-Child Workshop was aimed at fostering a love for the nation and Macau among the younger generation. It provided an opportunity for employee families to deepen their understanding of national history and the significance of Father’s Day, promoting a sense of patriotism and familial love. A total of 25 employee families participated in the event.

The workshop offered a rich agenda, beginning with an overview of Father’s Day and stories of three historical Chinese fathers renowned for their exemplary lives. These included Liang Qichao, who imparted ten essential life lessons to his children; Lin Changmin, known for his confidence and governance skills; and Chang Shuhong, who dedicated his life to the preservation of Dunhuang’s heritage. The stories aimed to inspire participants to adopt a healthy and positive attitude in life and to remain resilient in the face of challenges. "Teaching by example" and "leading by example" were highlighted as brave and responsible behaviors.

The event concluded with a “Moxa and massage health care hammer” workshop, where parents and children crafted a wellness hammer together. This gifts were intended to relieve fatigue and express the children's love for their hardworking fathers.
