23 November 2024 – Organised by the Macau Association of the Hearing Impaired, “2024 Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (“GBA”) Sign Language Song Performance” successfully concluded at Teatro Clementina Leitão Ho Brito on 23 November.

This year, 12 teams from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau participated in the performance. The organiser specially invited the SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) volunteer team to perform the opening song. This year's theme was “Ode to the Motherland.” In addition to celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao SAR, the sign language performance also aimed to foster cohesion for future service in the GBA.

Through this contest, SJM aims to deepen volunteers’ understanding of the hearing impaired. Learning of the sign language can also help to foster better communication and bridge the gap with the community of hearing impaired, contributing to a harmonious society.
