The 2022 Summer Obstacle Challenge was held on 18 September 2022, with SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) coming second overall out of 60 teams and 400 competitors who raced in various adrenaline-charged competitions.

The 2022 Summer Obstacle Challenge was conceived with the objectives of motivating young adults to exercise regularly, enjoy teamwork and pursue an active and healthy lifestyle. The competition involved 5-a-side mixed teams completing a series of tasks against the clock.

Meanwhile, seven athletes comprised the “Jubilee Team” and competed in multiple races as part of SJM Volunteer Team. Advancing through the heats, semi-finals and final round in the day-long event, the team emerged second overall and received a trophy from the hands of Mr Poon Wing Kun, Director of Sports Association of Macao.

SJM Jubilee Team captain Mr Lau Chun Ho expressed that the team was very proud to represent the company. "We are thrilled to come second out of 60 competing teams. I am grateful to see the incredible teamwork as well as overwhelming support from colleagues who cheered for us the entire day. I can't wait to return next year to challenge ourselves even further in the championship with even better results."
