Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (“SJM”) organized a team comprising two male and two female staff members at the “First Indoor Rowing Challenge Competition – Corporate Cup”, competing with teams of other organisations. After rounds of fierce competitions, SJM team won the 1000m category, both male and female individual, and was the first-runner-up at the 4 x 500m relay. An ardent supporter of Macau’s sports activities, SJM hopes to introduce this new rowing sports to the public and to encourage staff members to participate in more sports activities for the benefit of their health.

Organised by Nam Kwong (Group) Company Limited, Macao Convention & Exhibition Association, and other parties, the “First Indoor Rowing Challenge Competition – Corporate Cup”, which was held at Macau Fisherman’s Wharf on 31 October 2020, was one of the programmes of the China Macau International Yacht Import and Export Fair. Indoor rowing has become a popular sport in the world in recent years and was listed by the General Administration of Sport of China as a main sporting contest for the general public.
