This successful partnership aims to make racing history with back-to-back victories at this year’s 63rd Macau Grand Prix.”
“In addition to sponsoring Theodore Racing, SJM is also the Title Sponsor of the SJM Macau GT Cup – FIA GT World Cup. SJM is happy to be involved with the Macau Grand Prix, as we consider it an important part of Macau’s evolution as a world centre of tourism and leisure.”
Managing Director and Chief Administrative Office of SJM, Ms. Angela Leong, added, “I would like to express our appreciation to Theodore Racing for their trust in us and for continuing to choose SJM as the team’s title sponsor and official partner for this year’s Macau Grand Prix. SJM, with its roots in Macau, fully supports this locally developed motorsports spectacular, and joins hands with Theodore Racing in organizing a series of activities for participation by the public, including the less fortunate and students. We wish the team another year of spectacular success, scoring their ninth Macau Grand Prix title.”
Striving for a record ninth Macau Grand Prix victory for his iconic Theodore Racing team, Mr. Teddy Yip Jr. commented, “It’s great to be back, not only in Macau, but also with our title sponsor SJM and Promotion Partner ICBC (Macau). We had great success together last year as Theodore Racing claimed a record eighth victory, our second with SJM and our first with ICBC. This year we return to defend our title with the aim of achieving back-to-back victories.”
“Theodore Racing is proud to have formed a partnership with the Macau Government Tourism Office, with the trio of SJM Theodore Racing F3 cars displaying the ‘Experience Macao, your own style’ branding during the 63rd Macau Grand Prix and content creators shooting captivating footage of Macau through the eyes of the team.”
Reigning Macau Champion Felix Rosenqvist remarked, “Following last year’s success, I graduated from Formula 3 to race in several global championships. However when I got the call from SJM Theodore Racing by Prema to return to Macau to defend my title, it was of course a no brainer. Having raced worldwide, I can honestly say that the Macau Grand Prix remains my favourite event of the year and I’m hungrier than ever to win.”
Macau Grand Prix rookie Maximilian Gunther commented, “I am really excited to be here in Macau. It is my first visit to this amazing city and I cannot wait to get out on track. We have been preparing for this race for some time on the simulator and the circuit is one of the best in the world. I have had a great year in the European F3 championship, finishing as vice-champion and my aim is to continue this form here in Macau.”
New Zealand racing driver Nick Cassidy also commented, “Macau has always been in the back of my mind as something to look forward to. Since making my debut here in 2014, where I finished on the podium, I have always wanted to come back. I am confident that, together with a top team like SJM Theodore Racing by Prema, we can have a great result. To become the first New Zealander to win the Macau F3 GP would be something special.”
